Art Outside 2015 was certainly not what I expected. When I hear about a festival in Texas, I assume it is going to be outrageously hot and dry. Instead, thanks to Hurricane Patricia and surrounding storms, I hardly saw the sun all weekend. The Pre-Party on Thursday was amazing thanks to shows by Tauk, The Nth Power, Dopapod, and The New Mastersounds. Unfortunately, on Friday most (if not all) workshops and yoga were cancelled. Luckily we did get some incredible music by some of my favorites including Twiddle, The Werks, and Lettuce, but the rest of the weekend was a loss. Saturday and Sunday were completely cancelled, and my trip to Texas was short lived. Check out the full review here to see how Art Outside got 66 FestiPoints, and be sure to look through all my photos on my Facebook page.
I do want to note that Art Outside has been going for 11 years, and the people that have been there before swear by it as an amazing festival. I am sure that it was just an unfortunate year and this should not deter you from trying out Art Outside in the future.
