Live Oak, FL: Who doesn’t love going to Florida for vacation?
Spirit of Suwanee Music Park: I love this venue! It is set up perfectly. Cars can enter and park wherever you want—along a river, along a lake, perhaps back in the woods. There are RV hook ups and even traveling stages. There are 2 stages, which is all you need if you ask me when you have a solid lineup. There are real roads, permanent bathrooms with air conditioning, and even a restaurant!
Not too pricey, just right for such an incredible lineup at such a perfect venue:
- Early Bird $175
- General Admission $195
- Gate Price $250
- One Day $150
- VIP $475
**Price does not include taxes & fees
Camping is perfect! It is first come first serve, and there are plenty of close and wonderful options! Whether you want to be in the woods by the bat houses, along a road, next to the river or lake, there is plenty to choose from and the only catch is you have to get there first!
I recommend driving to Wanee and camping! It is such a beautiful festival to camp at, I would never do anything different! If you are coming from far away, you can fly into Jacksonville (1hr drive), Atlanta (4hr drive), Gainsville (1hr drive), Tampa (2.5hr drive), or anywhere else nearby, but I would still recommend renting a car to enjoy the rest of the weekend. RVs would be a great choice as well if you are not a camper. Wanee also offers a few different hotel/shuttle packages.
Security was average at Wanee this year—depending on who you got it could be a little more strict or laid back, but that’s typical. You bag was checked every time you entered the festival grounds, but it wasn’t intense or anything. They did seem to harass people with service animals, completely unnecessary not to mention against the law.
People at Wanee at AMAZING!
Wanee had some decent weather this year. Lots of sun the first coupld of days, followed by a couple of rain storms, but nothing was ever cancelled so that was great. It was a bit colder than I expect Florida to be, but other than that no complaints. The rain storms honestly worked perfectly with Panic’s Chilly Water!
HANDLING OF THE WEATHER:
Luckily for Wanee, there was never anything for them to handle except a couple of storms which they didn’t cancel shows for. Perfect to me!
Wanee’s lineup was EPIC! Every band is so incredible,
So much love for every single artist ❤
WSMFP! Enough said…
Ohh and not to forget Gov’t Mule and Tedeschi Trucks too. Holy cow Wanee was incredible 🙂
LATE NIGHT SHOWS:
Galactic is always a fan favorite, and don’t forget to get there a night early for FREE music Wednesday!
Two stages—seems so simple yet it is so perfect! The main stage is a huge field and there is plenty of room for everyone in attendance. You can even set up your hammock along the trees if you like. And no VIP section in your way!! The mushroom stage has the coolest trees surrounding it with the most beautiful Spanish moss that looks amazing with lights on at night. It is more intimate, which is great, but it also tiers up so that you can see from a distance as well.
Wanee doesn’t have much going on as far as community events go, but there is definitely still a community at Wanee!
THE MUSHROOM STAGE! I can’t say enough how incredible this stage is. The lights dance perfectly on the Spanish Moss trees that engulf the entire venue and campground.
NOMS! Suwannee Park always has the very best food options for any dietary need or munchie craving!
There are endless vendors and artists for you delight! Bring plenty of extra cash!
There was one yoga class every morning during the festival! Perfect to stretch yourself out before boogieing all night long!
HELP THE ENVIRONMENT:
There were some recycling bins around, but they can be hard to find so most things just end up in the trash.
